Dead By Daylight has had a fantastic July. Highlights have included the debut of Lara Croft as a survivor along with the recent releases of cross-progression and the 2v8 mode event. While we’ve had a fun month, there is plenty to anticipate next month, too. Here you will find an early outline of everything confirmed for the DBD August 2024 roadmap so far before BeHaviour post their official schedule.
As mentioned, Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode has just begun, and you will want to take full advantage of the event before it soon finishes on August 8th. In addition, cross-progression has become available for all platforms, but there are caveats to know about exclusively for Nintendo Switch. Finally, beyond next month, BeHaviour has confirmed the previously leaked release date for The Casting of Frank Stone, September 3rd.
We absolutely cannot wait for The Casting of Frank Stone from Supermassive Games, but we’re just as excited for the arrival of the CastleVania chapter. News about the crossover with Konami’s hit property is part of the DBD August 2024 roadmap along with some neat skin collections.
Dead By Daylight August 2024 roadmap so far
Below is an early outline of the Dead By Daylight August 2024 roadmap including everything confirmed so far along with the events to finish July:
- Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode – July 25th to August 8th
- Forgotten Memory Collection skins – July 30th
- Feng Min skin
- Horrors from the Deep Collection – August 6th
- Skins for The Dredge and The Blight
- DBD CastleVania news – August 6th
- Expected public-test build launch
- Noir Collection – August 13th
- Skins for Jane, Jonah, Haddie
- Alien Romulus Collection – August 16th
- New Legendary Rain outfit for Ellen Ripley
All of the above skin collections and dates were confirmed during the 2v8 mode livestream preview held on July 16th. Meanwhile, in regard to CastleVania, BeHaviour’s teaser said “learn more on August 6th,” and we expect the pubilc-test build for Steam users to drop on said date, too. We will update this article when BeHaviour share their official schedule for August.
With the Horrors from the Deep Collection, this is for The Blight and The Dredge only. It is inspired by underwater mythos and monsters, and, during the 2v8 livestream, BeHaviour said they may return to the concept in the future if it proves popular.
The Noir collection is a throwback to black-and-white detective classics, meanwhile, the Alien Romulus Collection is to coincide with the new movie landing in cinemas on August 16th. Rain is the new leading protagonist played by actress Cailee Spaney, and the outfit does feature her likeness unlike the Ellen Ripley skin that blatantly does not look like Sigourney Weaver.
Lastly, for Dead By Daylight x CastleVania, it’s not confirmed but we’re expecting the public-test build for Steam to drop on August 6th alongside the full reveal. BeHaviour hasn’t confirmed anything other than the crossover happening, but the teaser provides a glance at Dracula who was previously leaked as the killer.
While Dracula was leaked as the killer, there is no leaks for the survivor. Fans speculating the CastleVania survivor on Reddit are most prominently guessing Alucard, Richard or Simon Belmont. Per the year 9 roadmap, there is only a killer and survivor, which sadly means there will not be a beautiful map set in Dracula’s castle.
