Following the Gold Road chapter announcement, developer ZeniMax Online Studios revealed all the game editions and pre-purchase (pre-order) details for players looking to get the latest DLC. Those who eventually pre-purchased the Gold Road chapter could earn bonus rewards, which included the West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Maps.

These maps have the same purpose as the ones acquired from bosses and valuable loot drops; however, these chests reward players with extra items. We've explored the West Weald region to help players find all the chest locations to the West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Maps in ESO: Gold Road.

How To Find All West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Map Chests In ESO: Gold Road?

Treasure maps are a unique type of collectible that players can track down through the multiple regions of Tamriel. These maps can be obtained in ESO in a few ways, including as randomized loot drops from defeating bosses or inside highly valuable caches or chests.

This isn't the case for the West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Maps included with the Gold Road chapter, as these maps are acquired in one way. Players who've pre-purchased any edition of the Gold Road chapter will receive unique Pre-Purchase Rewards, which includes exclusive treasure maps.

These maps can be found within the Inventory under the Trophy category for Slottable Items, and players can interact with them to reveal more information. Like the standard maps, these pre-purchase treasure maps provide a sketched image of where the treasure can be located, and players will have to use their knowledge of the world to find it.

It's worth pointing out that the West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Maps will give players different locations to find the chests than the standard treasure maps. They also give them various types of loot once they've discovered the dirt mounds in the open world, so let's look at the locations of where to find the chests from the West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Maps in ESO: Gold Road:

• West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Map Chest Location #1: The location of the first chest is near the upper end of a lake located above the Lucient Citadel Trial northeast of the Valente Vinyeards Wayshrine, where they must dig up the dirt mound for the chest to appear.
  • Rewards: Gold x26, Dagger of the Weald, Maple Inferno Staff of Shock, Rawhide Guards of Stamina, Soul Gem, an Antiquity Lead: Colovian Tapestry, Worn, and a Petty Glyph of Flame
• West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Map Chest Location #2: The next treasure chest location will take players to the Three Points Wayshrine in northern West Weald. Facing the southern direction, look at the large boulder ahead and to their right, carefully walk around it before turning left down a path where they can find the tree as depicted, and the dirt mound can be found on a rock behind it.
  • Rewards: Gold x26, Iron Mace of Shock, Maple Ice Staff of Frost, Shoes of the Weald, an Antiquity Lead: Colovian Tapestry, Pastoral, a Petty Glyph of Reduce Spell Cost, and a Soul Gem (Empty)
• West Weald Pre-Purchase Treasure Map Chest Location #3: The final treasure chest is located southeast of the Feldagard Wayshrine by heading into the jungle until they find a cluster of vines pushed out from the ground and a stream following beside it. The dirt mound can be discovered by following the stream in an eastern direction between these vines and slightly to the left.
  • Rewards: Gold x26, Iron Axe of Shock, Iron Greaves of Health, Macabre Vintage Shield, a Soul Gem, an Antiquity Lead: Colovian Tapestry, Fancy Gate, and a Petty Glyph of Reduce Feat Cost

Once all the Pre-Purchase treasure maps have been viewed and the locations are discovered, players can dig up the mounds to unearth the chests. Looting all the treasure chests unlocks the Treasure Chest Spotter Achievement in ESO: Gold Road.
