Refresh scores 3 late in defeating Ridge Bats (2024)

Refresh Med Spa improved to 4-3 Friday night, thanks to a 7-6 win over the Allegheny Ridge Bats in a Greater City League game at Vets Field.

The winners scored three times in the bottom of the seventh for the win.

Bill Green had two hits and three RBIs for RMS, which led 4-1 after two innings of play. Teammate Luke Mento added three hits and two RBIs.

The Ridge Bats (0-7) got two hits and two RBIs from Raymond Watt to go with two RBIs from Rich Ball.

Hatch sparks ERA

Braden Hatch struck out 10, and also drove in two runs, to lead ERA Sports to a 4-1 win over Furrer Beverage in an Altoona Teener 15U League game at Seitz Field.

Teammate Cole Lucas had two hits for ERA (5-2).

Conner Waite had two hits, including a solo home run, for Furrer (2-6).

J&P Auto Mart improved to 7-1 in the Altoona Teener 15U League, thanks to a 14-4 win in six innings over Home Instead at Seitz Field.

Conner Pike had three hits and an RBI to go with two hits and three RBIs from Brayden Pike. Winning pitcher Talan Palladini added two RBIs to go with Lucas Gority’s two hits and two RBIs.

Gority gets No. 5

Gority Brothers improved to 5-1 in the Kelley Federation 13u 54/80 Division, thanks to an 11-0 win over Park Security in a game played at Greenwood.

Connor Bennett, Shane Gority and Thomas Brouse each drove in two runs in the first inning for the winners. Zach Hough, Bennett and Gavin Lockard each drove in a run in the second inning.

Gority got the win. He gave up no hits in three innings of work with four strikeouts and five walks.

Comeback kids

Cumming Motors scored eight runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the DuBois Bucks at 11-11, then pushed across a run in the bottom of the 11th to win, 12-11, in a Rust Belt League game played late Thursday night at Vets Field.

Sebastian Rhoades had three hits and two RBIS for Cumming. Devon Boyles had two hits and two RBIs to go with two hits and three runs scored from Tyreke Green.
