I love this job the only complaint I have is how they treat their employees corporate-wise. We work tirelessly during holidays and busy seasons wit little to no extra pay.

There are managerial problems that affect regular employees a lot more than managers assume. I have a great time having fun with fellow associates that share me humor. The amount of security tags I have to take off as a cashier are ridiculous, Ross: Dress for Less has a huge problem with shoplifters and they don't do anything about it. All we as employees can do is tell a manager what time it happened and I assume they don't even look at the security footage. Recently, multiple people have quit to focus on their family or long-term goals, but this is an example of Ross not being a forever store to work at.

I feel like it is a decent job with decent pay. The thing that makes it nice and makes me look forward to coming in is the commoradity and energy of the workplace.

Overall the job is honestly good. The work environment is the best part, with friendly coworkers and managers alike and when it isn't holiday season it can be a low-stress environment. The only thing I'd like to see change is the pay.

I liked working at Ross because there were many opportunities for growth. I started as a sales floor Associate and got bumped up to a main cashier and also did some work in stock. The people were nice and the breaks were ensured. They trained me well and listened to what I had to say on work related topics. It was a very positive and fun environment.

Avoid this company AT ALL COSTS. They might offer a pretty penny for what sounds on paper like a great job, but the corporate environment is toxic and stifling. The company runs like it is still the 1980s, and it's not something you see until you're on the inside, it's honestly quite shocking. There is a lot of talk about "diversity", yet the teams I meet are made up almost entirely of white women, and I've witnessed POC leave due to harassment and mistreatment. When they tried to speak out, Ross has a line of lawyers to back them.
Overall the management has no idea what they're doing, scrambling every day. There's been extremely high turnover, particularly since hybrid work was taken away for 4 days a week in office (with only Fridays WFH, despite having worked nearly 2 years remotely during the pandemic). The CEO may be a woman but she sounds like a robot. Completely detached from what's doing on in the company. It's just a sh-t show.

Wish they would hire more people who are not in high school because I don’t think it’s fair for people who are not in school and need a fulltime and stable job to make ends meet.

The managers are very understanding, the other employees are friendly, and the hours and scheduling are pretty flexible. It is fun and enjoyable work, but
at times can be overwhelming. Scheduling conflicts, call-outs, and at times customers, can make working here a bit overwhelming and stressful.

I had a good overall experience working at Ross Stores. I've been employed there for four months and have like both the environment and my coworkers. The personnel is helpful and friendly, and the store is consistently tidy and organized. The management is also very kind and helpful.
The work is enjoyable in and of itself. I'm in charge of restocking the shelves, serving customers, and maintaining order in the business. Additionally, I am able to gain a lot of knowledge about customer service and how to deal with various customer kinds. I can also pick up how to use the till and other store tools.
A good wage is also received. I can earn a respectable living, and the hours are flexible. My overall impression of working at Ross Stores was positive. I've been there for four months and enjoy the atmosphere. I can work around my school schedule and still make enough money to cover my expenses. I would strongly advise anyone looking for work to apply at Ross Stores.

quit within two weeks. VERY minimal training — they had me on my own register less than an hour after my cashier training began. zero communication (did not tell me when the schedule was out and punished me for missing a day i didn’t know i har a shift). overall stressful but competitive pay ig. wouldn’t recommend at all.

I work there and our store is always filled with items. Sometimes it's bare but customers still find what they love. I love my co workers and the customers. What I would like to see more is enough people on shift so no one has a hard time. Hire people who can work nights and has an open availability. Call those who left their name and numbers on the application papers outside the doors when it's there. More group talks for people coming in on shift just to summarize the day/week.

I'm a seasonal worker who fills in for tasks, and covers breaks and lunches. This is by far the best job I've had due to how open, friendly and patient my managers and coworkers are.
